Are you aware of any way to do this using 1st-party plugins? I have Particleillusion, but it doesn't compare with the output quality of After Effects, but I don't have the money for Trapcode, etc... any way you think it's possible? If there's even a slight chance, do you think you could tutorial it? I'm making an HP movie and that's the only effect im having a lot of trouble with.

@FireBeasty in after effects there is "Particle word" its interesting to do this effect...

@killeros85 I've tried playing around with Particle World, but I'm not sure what distortion effects to add to the particles to make them look smoky.

@FireBeasty in particle world if you click in option, you can ability motion blur...
