Part 2 of my 2008 trip to Alaska. This video contains movies and pictures taken during the week we stayed on the Kenai Peninsula. First the amazing bear viewing tour with K Bay from Homer to Katmai National Park. Getting there in a small plane that lands on the beach in the middle of nowhere followed by a 3 hour walk between the bears. Saw at least 35 grizzly bears and some from a really close distance. Our guide even had to let one of the bears know he had gotten to close, not with bear spray or a gun no just by taking one step forward. An absolute amazing an unforgettable experience, recommend it to everybody!
This is followed by a Kenai Fjords boat tour from Seward to the 100 meter high Holgate glacier from which every now and then ice would fall off. We also saw several whales and sea lions during this trip, another amazing day.
