Yeah people in China are poor, but so are people in the U.S. and other countries. The Asian people make up the real labour and work.

It looks like an enormous heating iron =D
But I like how the architects didn't add a hundred foot vane on the top to make it taller. As if somehow that counts as part of the building, to help it break records. =,=

@blackflag1217 Yes they are still very poor, a lot of people are suffering from malnutrition.

@blackflag1217 Yes but in the last ten years they have taken more people out of poverty than the entire population of the USA. Look at what China was 20 years ago, and what they are now. Poverty was 85% in 1981 and in 2005 it was 16% i find that amazing.

chinas construction boom is incredible, they consume one third of the worlds steel, halfs of the worlds concrete and one quarter of the worlds oil. Their economy is exploding.

It was not chinese architects who built SWFC, it was the american architect firm Kohn Pedersen Fox accosiates.

i must admit this is a great skyscraper. i admire china alot. yet again im american i have ALOT of pride and love new york etc. im sad that many americans are ignorant and do hope for a strong allience with china to creat greater cities and a greater world
