War should be only a LAST resort to solve differences... Without dialogue how can we be part of the world... This administration isolated us, and we remain isolated. Now he wants to join with the rest of world to "fix" the financial crises... I am glad that these 8 years are nearly over... We got exactly what we asked for and now who pays for it -- we the people.

the relevence nismoto is that if the candidates have relatives or even friends in the service then they will have a better sense of empathy for anyone who else who does. Although many are outraged and upset at this war, this is a situation in which it is impossible to truely understand the pain and stress the family of these soldiers go through, unless you yourself have a relative in the war. it TRUELY hit close to home, unless it does exactly that, affect YOUR home

[Part 3]
War is not wrong because "my daughter is serving and might die". War/invasion is wrong when it is authorized by a fascist or imperialistic regime:

However, I don't see the relevance in the second part of your question. I do not support all politicians in office nor did I vote for the current President, however, I believe that any of them with the power to make war would not be influenced by how many family members they had serving.

[Part 1]
First of all, I would like to say "thank you" to you and your family for your/their service to our country.

I think that the first part of your question was great. When will it finally be over; right there in their face.

Politicians all over the world make their decisions and we, the electorate have to comply. To change anything, and in this case the war in Iraq, the people need to be more involved, and maybe in a more revolutionary style. The truth is that the politicians in the U.S. did a good job of removing the dictator but a bad job of not getting out while the going was good. There is no need for your lads to die out there! Send in the politicians families in their on the front-line to see the reality.

It was sold as a "new kind of war," and when we started the war, 94% of Americans supported the idea of starting the war to "fix" things.

What was new about this kind of war? Just this, the rest of the title of the war Americans said they wanted, the part everyone forgets now: The title was, as follows: "The never ending war on terror." What don't you all get about the words never ending? Bush and Congress (republicans AND democrats) continue apace and ontrack, whatever they say, otherwise.
