  • Sounds like mrstevenif doesn't even make the grade to be a daf... Explains all that hate.

  • I am a DAF "Guard"...and this is sooooo true! DAF "Police" think they are exempt from the real work!! LMAO

  • Hell the average SF SrA has deployed more since 9/11 then some DAF did in their entire career. Our SF have been deploying their asses off, been inside and outside the wire and have combat action medals w/ multiple branches and foriegn militaries. Most DAF are like ex CE or non LE "trust me I just came from Maxwell AFB were most are DAF are one step away from flipping burgers. Most are old and fat. DAF constantly cut corners leaving SF to pick up the slack, because we can't call in sick.

  • Cont....Why? It's common sense if they were head patrolmen, swat etc aka a true asset to their prior organization they would be some 30-50yr old working a gate. Plus they can't take the clue that all because that's how it worked at their last job doesn't mean it complies with AF policies or other laws. Plus most bases have SF EST teams or TRFs, CPEC, Raven, Dagrae etc. who are highly trained for MODERN day situations. Cont...

  • Let's get it right few and far between DAF workers are ex Fed workers and law enforcement. Most LE wanna be's. Meaning they tried out for local law enforcement and other agencies and couldn't make the grade. Besides why would they go from Fed status to working a gate? Or from local police status to working a gate? Doesn't make sense!!! The DAF workers we have weren't the cream of the crop in their previous jobs anyway. Cont...

To make the claim that, because of the seemingly illegal hiring practices on your base, your experience with DAF guards is Air Force wide is pretty arrogant. I seriously doubt you have been to every base and studied every program. However, I do not doubt that there are some problems. My point is that I have worked every side of the SF career field to include contractor. There are dirt-bags no matter what uniform you where, but there are also some really good guys in every uniform also

  • @verevolf

DAF guards (series 0085) do not require police experience, and they may only work as entry controllers. DAF police (series 0083) require a min. of 1 year LE experience in accordance with AFI 31-283. As far as being prior Army ect. I disagree with that also. OPM requires the hiring of vets over experience, but this is not commonn only to DAF Police but all federal hiring, and yes it crap. In my experience the DAF Police (0083) that we have are experienced pros. that bring outside exp.

  • @APOdefender

Typically the DAF guards i deal with on a day-to-day experience have NO LE experience none. they're either prior army somethign or other or they were AF services. only one or two have any ANY LE experience. and the same is AF wide. Yes we have a lot of SF member that bith/gripe/complain ok so what so does every career field. but DAF being a great addition?? not so much.

  • Really, SF never complains? has anyone seen the rest of this guys videos? DAF police are a great addition to the Air Force. Sure, there are some bums in the DAF career field, but lets not be ridiculous there are plenty of SF that did not know what they were getting into, and therefore hate there job and complain constantly. The DAF police, in most cases are prior Law enforcement, many have worked at various Federal and local agencies with much more training and experience than SF.
