Many if not most of the products we consume here in the developed world are being produced by our firms in developing countries. This process releases CO2 into the atmosphere. Acting now will avoid many problems in the future. Plus it is about time we cleaned up our planet... don't you think so?

@dreamcast98 do you drink freshly squeezed orange juice? for each 250ml you buy, 400g of CO2 is released into the atmosphere! (that's if you buy the cheap stuff - not from concentrate)

A carbon tax is a waste of action. If it is too low it won't change anything and if it is too high businesses will close down and the jobs will go to India or China where they are not going to reduce any emissions. The majority of their industries are not as clean as those of the western world and there will be higher emissions of CO2, so that would be doubly bad.

Look up Maurice Strong and why he is in China.
