I was cleaning out my VHS tapes and stumbled upon this time capsule: a 1994 infomercial on "high-tech gifts for Father's Day." In this segment: "High-Tech Office."

  • I was 6 in 94' and this is awesome to watch! NO kidding, I laughed at the $700 printer that probably did 4 sheet per hour. So weird to see what we have now compared to then.

  • Hi: Thank you for the comment! I was 14 years old in 1994. Two years before that my family moved to America from Ukraine. I was still learning the English language. We just got our first VCR and I was frequently taping programs from the TV. I remember I couldn't understand what this guy was talking about. But I was mesmerized. So, I hit the record button. 17 years later, I found that tape in my basement. I figured you'd all have a good laugh!

  • Apple has always been ahead and the best!

  • $700.00 for a fucking printer?! I bought a brand new printer last month for $19.99.

  • i was only 1 years old when this commercial came out.... lol

  • This just totally captures the innovative spirit we had in the 90's. What an optimistic time.

I hope we can find that same optimism again.

  • doohickies

  • I accessed this cyber link using the innovative track pad.

  • This is like The Jetsons and stuff.

  • I use your videos to explain internet and networking to my grandma! Thanks!

  • Heh... they didn't forsee the ubiquity of browsers & the web, which was just around the corner... goes to show how it came out of nowhere and took off so fast! Those separate 'gadgets' have mostly converged into software apps on laptops and mobiles instead. Interesting upload... Harnoho dnja!
