Series 7 & 8 were mostly crap, but this was hilarious!

@MrFlibble2011 So you really like 7 & 8? Ok fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. No need to call me a 'cunt'. 7 & 8 seemed terrible compared to the other 6. The loss of Rimmer and having them go into 'prison' just didn't work. And a moaning bitchy Kochanski character was just depressing.

@seattlegrobanite Yeah, Rob Grant left and Doug Naylor wrote 7 & 8 with a bit of help from a couple others. You can blatantly see the difference.

@madwalrus I think the problem with series 8 in particular was its lack of sci-fi Red Dwarf passionately has, and it being pure sitcom. Doesn't mean it shouldn't have been made! lol

@johnykoop Didn't it the show get bad because they got a new writer or something? Suddenly the characters, especially Lister, were saying things he'd NEVER say in the other series.

i like certain scenes in series 8 (including this one), but i didn't like series 8 overall... some scenes weren't funny, didn't add anything to the plot, and were drawn-out for far too long (e.g. the scene where they discuss the dinosaur eating curry and getting diarrhoea seemed to go on for EVER). i hope the next series is more consistent!
