@NewSoviet507 You are right about that. The British not only had good pilots of their own, but many Canadian aces fought the Battle of Britain as well. Another key British advantage was the 100 octane fuel from the United States which gave them more speed and thrust over the 87octane German fighters.

@ekvazralaufer Hitler was able to amass 150 combat divisons all along the soviet border before the operation Barbraose began and stalin was not alarmed by this, because Germany and Soviet Union were allies that just a year earlier shared in over running poland together.....

@ekvazralaufer which part is stupid?

@skhochay superstupid!

@catbird007 ???????? Who told you that? Which planet you came from?

I know what you see on TV in the US, but its not what is taught at the military academies. A friend who went to west point told me that the eastern front is heavily studied. Don't forget about the NAZI-Soviet non-aggression pact (Ribbontroff - Molotov treaty). After the purge of the army that treaty was Stalin's biggest blunder before the war started.

Soviet Union was a member of the AXIS powers at first.

@toffanful and the RAF Owned the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain

@lemonboy53 30 million is too high a number, 26 million is more accurate, of which 8 million were military deaths. and of these 3 million deaths, happened in german extermination camps. When the red army went into germany, they had every right to hate germany and it's people.

@1oden2dva3tree Good job. I have a simple theory about the WW2 victory: for example if you seeded 10 sacks of potatoes and harvest back only one - did you win this harvest? Or if you seeded one sack and harvested 10 back? So who is the winner in this theory - harvest? Compare this to WW2 and ask who is who?
@kashakrus47 i totally agree with you,the Americans are so arrogant thinking they won the war because of their mere deaths in the war of around 600,000, the civilians in America were enjoying everday life when civilians in the Soviet Union were being massacred by the Werchmact and their houses were being shelled. The Red Army put in the most effort in the war, with approximately 30Million casualties, the Red Army contributed most to the downfall of Nazi Germany, therefor they deserve the victory
