The Student Principal of the Year Project is designed to encourage students to demonstrate their leadership abilities acting as principal for one day at their designated high schools. The primary objective is to have this extraordinary program available for all schools on a national level, so that students can gain a sense of responsibility across the nation. The project will be held in April of each year (depending on individual school calendars). After the school's 1st 2nd and 3rd quarters have concluded, a designated representative will collect all student applications and necessary school records. This will allow adequate time for the panel or committee to review and comfirm the students' eligibility requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Student applicant must be a senior.
2. Student applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
3. Student applicant must submit a recommendation letter from a High ranking official of some kind (School Teacher, Mentor, Police Officer, Chruch Pastor/Minister etc.)
4. Student applicant shall write a minimum two page essay entitled "Why I Want To Be Student Principal of The Year."
5. Student applicant must pass an oral board interview, which will be weighed 100%.
6. All student applicants shall be responsible for providing their report cards to the coordinator to verify his/her current GPA status prior to the deadline for submission as Student Principal of The Year.
