A beautiful song with lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman and music by Michel Legrand. Written for the 1983 movie musical "Yentl", it unfortunately didn't make the final cut but was instead replaced by "No Matter What Happens." However, Streisand does a fantastic job on this demo and it's really worth a listen.

What a gorgeous song... a gem in everyway..and I love to hear this informal recording...shows that Streisand is as fabulous unadorned as she is with the whole nine yards production...its like being back at Le Bonsoir lol xx

she explains why it was removed on the directors cut version. It went along with another scene which was cut from the movie, and she said that this scene wouldve been out of place if left in the movie.

@TracyAndersonFoxhunt I think the song is saying that at night when people are with their lovers she is alone and the only one, or thing, that is there is the moon. It sees when she cries. Very gorgeous:D
