A Mainstream Guide ( http://mainstream-guides.com )that sets up a face-off between the two best programs for organizing, editing, and sharing your digital photos.
Check out also Daminion (the former name is PicaJet 3.0). It allows to automatically sync image annotations into the image metadata. And the more important I can provide True multi-user access to my image archive library. And even more important the standalone version is free :)
I don't like how you can only turn up highlights and shadows in picasa and there is no direct saturation tint and temperature slide adjuster to speak of. I'm sticking with windows live photo gallery. To bad because I really liked the album organization in picasa.
So far the only thing I don't like that google made. :(
Even though Picasa has more features. The tagging and saving the editing feature is clunky. Windows Live Photo Gallery is more streamlined due to the 'Previous Versions' (Shadow Copy) integration
