who are you to decide if they are overpaid? what do you do for a living?

then who are you talking to? if you cant prove your point to me, who can you prove it too?

Consider this. No matter what you do for a living whether you are a truck driver, a computer programmer, a doctor, an administrator or a cab driver, there would be some idiot who doesn't even know you, your family or your personal expenses and doesn't care about your future plans, trying to determine how much money you get paid along with how and when you get paid. Doesn't taste and smell like freedom to me.

so they should go to school for years, get lots of debt, and not get paid for it? thats real nice.

im not saying they should work for free....they should be payed on a prospective payment system in which they cant overprovide additional services. This will force them to provide only essential care. The remaining 25% of their pay should be based on perfomance measures. an example if a patient has improved the doctor should get paid, but if that scum bag didnt help him or her he or she should get a penalty. how does this proposal sound to you?? DOCTORS ARE OVERPAID

not as many if there was a profit to be made.

well in sweden the doctors get a high sallary, the one in the private sectore get higher though but theres still money to be made working in the regular hospitals, i know since im very close to a succesful doctor.
there is a big intresst for many young people to become doctors here.
