Now make a blowoff valve, intercooler and add 40 lbs of boost.
-
i bet you can make that smaller so it could work for something small
-
no compression = no turbo

@mythril4 use powdered graphite, but make sure you keep it stocked.

@offamychain thats true, but of course i had them when i was a kid and things then were more metal than plastic and our toys were a tad dangerous. me and my brother made booby traps with out erector sets to get mom when she woke us up to go to school. we made one with a trip wire so when she walked into it, it switched on and a metal rod swung out and whacked her across the shins, then stumbled into a slinkey and it tangled her legs up. thats another reason y it disappeared lol.

@GMCman82 Mine was probably the next size below yours. It had 2 of the motors, but no remote or other fancy stuff. Also used 4-AA's in a pre-assembled black plastic battery-case, not the big D's.
Athough I purposely picked the set which had "power", I never used it much. My main interest was & still is dams & bridges. Erectors aren't the best dam-material in the world, but they work GREAT for bridges. But unless you are building a moving bridge, there's just not many uses for power.

@offamychain hes right it was an erector set, i made lots of things with it. made a goose neck trailer for a remote controlled dump truck and i made a freakin weed eater! it was full size and mine came with motors and wires and stuff and i took a metal propeller that came with it and used it for the blade and had it powered with 4 d-cell batteries and it would cut like you wouldnt believe. mom thought it as a weapon cuz i chased my brother with it and it mysteriously disappeared

@legomaniacman Yup, is it. Guess I'll be taking a trip to Toys-R-Us this week.
Have to formulate a good excuse for wife.
Actually taking kids to Chucky Cheese? Naa. Going to Wal-Mart to buy her some new curtains? Huumm. Running down to Lowe's for a new Skil-Saw? Maybe. Picking up guys for a night at the teetee-bar? THERE it is! That way she won't be home when I get back from toy store, so can play with new toy & no interruptions.

@offamychain Erector set? They still make them. Had one when I was 6 or so. Made a airplane with a fast moving propeller :P

@GMCman82 Yep, I remember that big green one. A couple years after the Legos, when I got old enough to know not to put them in my mouth, I got a BIG set of metal girder-thingies, along with a million or so tiny nuts & bolts. Can't remember the name, but you could REALLY build some good sh!t with those, especially bridges.
I figure they are outlaw'd now, since you could cut a finger off really easy & kill the family dog by leaving those bolts in the floor for him to eat.
I ran into one small issue when I took my legos to high RPM's. Shaft meltdown, seems the plastic makes bad bearings.

@mythril4 As long as you dont run them for very long. A little bit of WD-40 helps I think
