This is really WONDERFUL! I'm just discovering Jiri Trnka. Where did you get this clip, and can you tell me where I might be able to see the entire film? Do you know if there are any plans of a DVD release?

I've seen this video copy elswhere. It's from Spanish television. There was a beautiful letterboxed laserdisc subtitled in english available, but it is long out of print. I've read that in the UK during the 1960s they released a version narrated in english by Richard Burton, but I've never seen it

This is one of my favorite films.
I love just how much expression can be understood without the need for facial movement , or dialogue.
