Untitled Sex Ed Documentary Demo

This is just a few minutes of a works in progress documentary on the sex education or the"lack" of sex education in the state of Texas. In November of 2004, the Texas State Board of Education adopted new health textbooks that are now abstinence-only. With Texas as one of the leading states in teen pregnancies and STDs being contracted among teenagers it seems ironic that the state would withhold sex education from teenagers.

It's pointless to argue about this kind of stuff on youtube when you will never convince the other person of your point of view by insulting them; when you do that you accomplish nothing. No matter what you believe, Texas's STD and Pregnancy rates are an unavoidable a problem. I love the state and I would love to see a change.

Lol, Religion is making it so they filter out all information so the kids have to find out the hard way. Who in the world is actually hurt buy be taught through a text book. They need to teach kids in a medically accurate perspective not this sin and evil mumbo jumbo.

And actually Dentex, I can't find national teen pregnancy stats prior to 1972, but in 1997 the teen pregnancy rate dropped back down below the 1972 level. It had increased steadily from 72 until 92 but dropped back very quickly in just a few years. It's now quite a bit below the 1972 level.

More lies from Dentex. Look up the stats. When the Dems took office in 92 and funding for sex education increased, the teen pregnancy problem started dropping. The 2005 rates for Texas are actually down 21% from 1991. Nationwide it went down 34%. Had Texas been more receptive to sex education in all its schools it would have had a decrease on par with the national numbers. Check your facts before posting please.

second post: And i'm still waiting to know what good the "word of god" would bring to your schools. With all the diferent religious believes that exist in the US, what word or what God would teach about in your schools? Your president killed alot of inoccent with bombs, but i guess it's okay cause he is not a communist and says "may God bless America" at the end of his speeches.

How many languages do you speak? Probably just one, maybe two. And you don't need to spell everyting correctly to have an argument. Man, you are juvenile. Also, i'm not a communist, so don't just tell that like it's something i don't know. Even tought they killed a lot of people, so did religion and it's keeps killing and keeping people. Another american example of ignorance...blame it all on communist bugeyman. Your original comment is not true in anyway. Sex with protection does not harm you. And religion is used for an execuse to kill even nowadays. It is and always will be a way to control people. The first version of the bible actually tells that it's okay to sell your dauther...gee i wonder what profect told us that.
