I saw Jerry Ricks at the Poconos Blues Festival more years ago than I can count on my fingers. He had so many shadings in his playing, it was like his playing was a great painting as it was being painted.

Jerry's stranded in a hospital in Croatia without health insurance after the removal of a benign brain tumor. There's a benefit for him in Philadelphia at the Commodore Barry Club house this Sunday.

Silvio,
Thanks for posting this. Jerry was my guitar teacher in the late '60's. I was 14 years old, & he was an amazing person to learn from.(I'm 54 now, and a guitar teacher). I hear he's sick. Do you have any info on his condition?
