TransLink NFI D60LFR (# B8106) on 99 B-line *HD1080*

Probably the least crowded 99 ever, the reason? There was a D60LF about 10 feet in front of us the whole way... there was also another D60LFR about 1 block behind us. Nice bus although for some reason the automated announcements and LED display weren't working. This video not only shows a D60LFR in operation but also shows how Vancouver's BRT system works, the 99 differs from other routes in the fact that it functions as an RT line hence the term BRT or Bus Rapid Transit. The bus stops at every stop whether or not someone pulls the cord however stops are fewer and further between than most routes, when it pulls in all doors open automatically and passengers who already have a fare purchased may enter through either of the rear doors, in fact it's frowned upon for them to enter though the front as it holds up the line for people who need to buy tickets from the driver, this bus (along with all serving the 99) also features the same chime heard on the SkyTrain as a door close warning.

They were running way more buses than they needed that day, they were literally about every minute.

TTC's 39 is wayyyy busier than that.cause they have buses coming in like literally every 10 seconds. during rush hours its one bus every 0.5 seconds because they have 39A,B,C,D,E,F,G, 139E, 199 (express). we could use a B-Line route on Route 39 actually.
