Man. I kid you not, to me, Minnie Riperton's voice is THE BEST voice I've ever heard, point blank. The BEST. Better thank MJ's, better than Whitney's (Rest their souls, love them both). It is the best. And it's so sad that the only way I've ever heard it was in a recording . . . I'm 23, but I feel like her voice and songs have so much more meaning than anything out in the mainstream now. RIP MINNIE~

Finding reasons for every bad thing that befalls people is just another type of fetishism, and it's akin to idolatry; these people are so addicted to negativity, they have a 'god' for every misfortune and they're willing to look like the biggest, most craven jackasses just to prove every last one of them is real.

How awful that someone would look at this video and not cry but talk in a negative way about this beautiful angel. I just saw her tribute on an old Soul Train Tribute and decided to look her up because I was sad. I have loved her for years. I grew up in the 70's to her music and just melted in it. Her voice was like no other. She was just beautiful and I miss her so much. So she was black and her husband was white. So what. It was love at first sight and they loved each other.

Thank God there are people in the world that show the rest of the world what true love is; it has no boundries, it knows no color, nor social classes, nor weather you are rich or poor. It only knows what it is LOVE, beautiful people produce beatiful spirited children with no prejudice, just love. The people that hate is because of the absence of love in their lives.
