Great playing, and guitar! I have an '86 Model 4, same color, with dot inlays. What DiMarzio are you using, and did you leave the mid and neck pickup stock along with the mid boost?

Fingers are always the most important element. Really nice man, and the sound :) That's why i asked. warm 'n clear. I own a model 4 and a Korg AX1000G effect 'n can produce almost the same sound which is fantastic ! Really nice ;)

I have the 86 Model 4 did you know the necks are more chunky on the 86 models, I also have a 1989 Charvel 650xl which has a neck more akin to the sharkfin model 4, I'll post a video soon =]

i had a 87 model 4 played it through my korg px4d, for a japanese guitar, they are one of the best "cheaper" guitars you can find, great sound. I think you just put me in the market again to get one, well clearly i was looking since i clicked on this vid...lol

I have the same exact guitar you do! I just got it restored, i found that if you get a nice distortion pedal with a tube amp, it sounds way better than this. But this is still killer!!
