This is my favorite band that no one has heard of.
Like others, heard them on Upping the Ante and went on a hunt to find the CD, still one of my favorite discs in my collection

Wudup? Wish I woulda saw this video when it kkkame out. Crackerbash wuz a killer live band butt pretty much all their recorded output sorta sucked that iz why nobody really kkkarez. THis song and 4 liter from the album were the best recorded output. All of the 7" stuff on imp records wuz a waste of time in 4/4 time butt watch me drop this stupid dope funky fresh rhyme nigga! Sean Scrodum PDX Hipster of the grunge decade. I'll prolly get alot of flak 4 sayin' that.

Crackerbash was never a grunge band. The band was formed in late 88' by Sean C. and Scott Fox and some dick who kinda got everyone together( not teddy). ted was their 3rd Drummer. When they broke up is when they where getting right in the studio, going for more of a mid 80's D.C. sound mixed with 8o's post punk. They broke for the classic reasons Bands break up!!!!!!! Love ya sean, ted and scott. J.A.

why is it that I always find the best bands far too late?

I can't speak for the band, but I know that Paulie was busy playing in several acts (Elliott Smith, Jr. High, No. 2) and I think that it got to be too much. There might have been other reasons that led to the demise of Jr. High...I don't know. They were easily one of my favorite PDX bands. Live, they were on fire. Sean's energy was contagious. Nice guys and great musicians.

You are a bit confused. I played bass in Time Killing Isabel, but Dave Alspaugh - the singer/guitarist of TKI - is the one who played in Jr. High. He replaced Dan Hawthorne on guitar. Sean was looking for a bassist and guitarist when he saw Dave and I playing in the Videls - he hit Dave up for the gig (in spite of the fact that I was the one who desperately wanted to join the band) and passed me over in favor of Brendan Welsh, who was friends with Paulie (drums).
Crackerbash were amazing and Sean is perhaps the nicest musician ever.
p.s. Bohemia Afterdark was the best music video program ever!!!
