@2many2remember1 Even raw meat contains very little blood.

Definitely not right wingers.
The blood thing is actually smart.
Blood transfusions kill 10s of 1000s a year.
Modern medicine will do away with transfusions in the future.
Except on very rare occasions.

I am very impressed with Jehovahs.

@2many2remember1 Excellent point.
Also, regarding the disease part, the JW's are against allowing someone to store their 'own' blood in advance and using that, yet i wonder how many suck their finger when they cut it?

@theharemza are you one today

@stu281 actually the translation to English or Spanish or any other language can be a bit iffy...but like any other name that has a different sound when translated...so to does this name, but it doesnt stop you from using it. It's as close as we can get

Quite an impartial feature on them. FACT - there are no scholars in JW's not one, I mean nobody with say a Masters in Theology or Biblical languages. The reason - anyone that knows that match would quickly realise JW's beliefs & theology just do not stand up at all. Alarming too their New World Bible translation by the Watchtower Society was done WITHOUT a single qualified expert in Biblical languages, hence it manages to smuggle in their pecuilar teachings.

@stu281 So "honey" how do you say Jacabs name or Jesus name or any name in the hebrew languag that has the letter "J" in it? It's a translation in our language. And since you seem to know so much about it, how bout you enlighten us and tell us about the vowel points and why they were not assinged to the almightys name? And FYI there are just as many scholars if not more that favor the name Jehovah over Yahweh

SO much to say...Jehovah tells us to abstain from blood which I agree,look at how many people died of AIDS and hepatitis befor they knew it was coming from blood. You don't think another disease will crop up? However, how many witnesses I know will eat a medium rare steak? Hmmm Isn't that a conundrum
What an evasive answer!
He's right of course, not using blood is best. Also not having surgery of any sort is best. If a medical problem can be resolved without blood transfusion, or surgery, or any major intervention of any kind, that is always best.
But when there is no other option... that's the question that he wouldn't answer.

Very happy that the young lady didn't die, but what about all those who have died as a result of a made up , un-scruiptual doctrine.
Amen Jehovah is true, but Watchtower is false.
Blessings in Jesua.
