The squalid reality of a pig's life

Bacon eaten in Britain is highly likely to have come from pigs kept in illegal conditions, according to a large study of the EU pork industry by a respected British animal welfare charity.
Investigators for Compassion in World Farming visited 60 pigs farms across five countries including in the UK in attempt to gauge the farming of mass-produced pigs.
They found widespread tail-docking and barren pens, both banned by EU law, the use of heavily criticised systems for confining pregnant pigs, sow stalls on the Continent and farrowing crates in Britain, and dirty and overcrowded conditions.

@ChristianRG2000 They may not experience emotional pain as deep as us but there's no reason to believe that pigs experience physical pain less than us and even if they aren't as important, they still certainly don't deserve this sort of life, factory farming in generally seems unjustified to me considering all it is done for is to satisfy consumers when a non-meat option is there, it's not done for some real need sort of reason.
