  • Hey, presumptuous moron. What makes you assume that adoptees are all "impoverished and unwanted"? I'm an adoptee who's biological family is quite wealthy and educated. The only reason my mother relinquished me to a private adoption agency was because she was very young and frightened. She also got pregnant during an era when unwed mothers were scorned and seen as "sinful" and "dirty" by the religious nuts in their communities. She regretted the decision for the remainder of her adult life.

  • @hijodelrocio Professor Dawkins is no racist - he is a secular democratic humanist. I was pointing out that the poster of this video is lying and he knows he's lying and I defy anyone who can show me evidence to the contrary.

Hell (& heaven) exist only in the minds of delusional imbeciles. Humans are the only animals that know they are going to die, that's why these silly theme-parks were invented so infantile idiots (like you) can think they are going to live forever & their enemies punished.

  • @ritter89 IN A DARWINIAN POINT OF VIEW LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE FUCKING SAY BEFORE POURING YOUR SAD LIFE STORY ONTO THE INTERNET.

    zomg

  • @ritter89

"She also got pregnant during an era when unwed mothers were scorned and seen as "sinful" and "dirty" by the religious nuts in their communities. She regretted the decision for the remainder of her adult life."

At least her's "religious prejudice" didnt make her to do an abortion of you....are you glad now??

  • @ritter89 Your story is a rare case. Most adopted people I know never met their biological parents. Obviously there are many reasons why people put their kids up for adoption. Dawkins never said there weren't other reasons. He just cited the two most common reasons for doing so. He also made no ethical judgment for doing so.

  • @WilfriedAnonymo You're right. He made no ethical claim about adoption. He's merely pointing out that it makes more sense in terms of natural selection for one to reproduce instead of rear the offspring of another animal, thus passing genes off to the next generation. He's not a moral Darwinian. In fact, he's even stated that he isn't. He's a social liberal, of course he supports adoption.

  • You have no clue what Dawkins means by a Darwinian mistake. He's saying that in the gene's perspective adoption is not beneficial to the copying of itself. It's against the proper functioning of natural selection to rear another animal's child instead of personally reproducing. He doesn't think adoption is, in reality, fundamentally bad. Its funny how Dawkins opponents are usually charlatans who willfully ignore what he is really saying.

  • Dawkins is correct. Adoption is a mistake from a Darwinian point of view. That is why lions kill the cubs of the lioness they are planning to mate. He didn't make any ethical claims about adoption, or more concretely say people who adopt children are morons. I would very much doubt he would actually believe that, but it cannot be derived from this statement, which is a remarkable cliffhanger for the video but also a deceptive one.

  • OMG...Dawkins wants to kill adoptees!!!!!!!

  • You took this completely out of context and know it.

  • The last picture shows two white Europeans, who are genetically as different from Africans as a wolf is from a labrador retriever. Human races are separated by 40.000 years of evolution, more than enough to develop differences in intelligence, aggression, behavior and group psychology. Look up true and honest research on racial differences between humans and you'll be blown away.

Human races are as different as the various dog breeds (labrador, pitbull, etc.)

  • @JQisAwesome I'm sure, having read lots of your comments, and seen your views on gays, you have absolutely no problem with gay couples adopting?
