I know you guys in the South catch 5 pounders every other day, but up here on Long Island, this is a really sweet fish!
This fish was caught in windy conditions just before sunset on October 28th in about three feet of water from a kayak. The lure was a "bleeding" white skirt jig with a white plastic grub on the hook.

  • Thanks! I haven't been fishing for very long, so this got me pretty excited. In the vid I say it's 6 pounds, but looking at it now I think it's more like 5. Gotta remember the scale next time...

  • Just keep the damn fish n cook it

the only reason I fish is to have somethng to eat that I worked for

n for da thrill to be honest

  • Nice fish! I live in CT and thats a nice size fish up here in the tri-state. I just caught one around the same size 2 days ago, about 4.5-5 lbs right off her bed!! Ive caught a couple this size and thats a definetly a decent catch, good job bro

  • Funny how you got all these people telling you to do a release, then you do.. Yet all these pros stick them in live wells, take them to weigh ins and half of them die when they are put back in 2-3 hours after being caught.. Jealous idiots is all half these comments are,,,

  • props.... hes not that big, but be sure is well fed....

agreed with the release, but come on guys, u know when you caught ur first 4-5 lb fish u were siked too......

  • @biggiemac89 oh look whos pissed LOL. 18 inches? you mean 2cm? My biggest bass is 9lbs 2oz, it went 25 1/4" and was really fat. I've caught quite a few of 8lbers, most would be in the 24-25" range. I dont see an 18" bass being 12lbs. I weigh my fish and dont guess rediculously or lie. Which ever you're doing

  • @ZoomToadCraazy Come up to PA il show you a godamn 18 incher, the one you want in your mouth that your girl talks about.

  • @biggiemac89 theres no 18" bass that weighs 12lbs. 3-4lbs average, 5lbs if really really fat. Give him credit a 5lb bass is big from where he is fishing. I think you are jealous of his fish and you are braggin about a so called 18 inch bass that went 12lbs LMAO

  • sounds like your having an orgasm. release the damn fish

  • Thank you for letting this one go. I am strictly catch and release. I take my camera with me, and that is good enough for me. Too many people keep bass of all sizes and they are getting harder and harder to catch. Thanks, once again.

  • Jesus christ man, ever heard of quick release? And the bass isn't that big!
