Why do they pretend they are not LATINO???? thats what I dont understand. I mean ESTEVEZ is as mexican/Latino of a name as Galvez or Martinez or whatever. Emilio was married to Paula Abdul. I always thought Emilio was gorgeous.. I love Emilio..

But Martin Sheen seems like a kool dad. But why dont they talk about being LAtino in America?? Charlie walking round thinking he's white... Dude You're Mexican.. stop tripping you know 3 million a episode take your bitch ass to work

@WonderWomanFan4life At the beginning of the session (which we did not get to record) Emilio explained that one of the reasons why they wanted to make this film was in part a tribute to their Spanish heritage - Martin's father is Spanish, from Galicia in Spain, and his mother is from Ireland, so I guess that might be part of the answer?

When I watch this video and then I watch one of charlie's rants and egocentric behaviour I know for certain he is addiction is not over and he is not cured.I say this because a person that has accepted his addiction is repentant, and he has been blaming everyone and their dog for his actions. He obviously comes from a wonderful family it is unfortunate that he has strayed so far!

@mahalcat yes it is a sad situation for sure. Martin discussed his own past issues in the interview, but refrained from discussing Charlie. He said that his faith had helped him, and I had the strong sense that he would like nothing better than for Charlie to do a journey like the Camino, but Martin is wise enough to know Charlie has to find his own way in his own time frame. We can only hope that Charlie finds his peace soon for the sake of all the people who have loved him and admired him.

yeah it means your for fathers or ancestors could be or if you're adopted the people who adopted you or people you married are from there. I have a BAVARIAN last name. I'm NEGRO but my husband is BAVARIAN with a Jewish mother. So people in LA mispronounce my name all the time. They think I'm married to 100% Jew but he's not full jew only 50%, also Romanian/German. So in reality should i change my name? because some people are afraid of Germans or should I use the JEWISH part?

well thats nice. its sorta  like how my husbands Granma pretended her children were NOT JEWISh although kids didnt want to play with them because they looked ITALIAN, JEWISH, back in NAZI germany they were kicked out of Czech and sent back to GERMANY basically so her husband had to fight in war and they basically grew up as GERMANS and not JEW Germans because back then they would be killed.
