@Mastercaster1984 Again someone who thinks so? It's rare, but some idiot does come by every now and then. No, I don't wish to be Angus Young, you fool. I sure do wish to play as good as he does, this, yes. You don't have heroes yourself kid?

@SoloFilDallas It seems he always used 50W Metalface, but I think you're right, in this case. The first time I listened to "Go down" seemed too dirty to me, but I always liked it.

@heartbreakerdu85 Not with the Aracom Attenuator sitting on top of all of the cabs/heads!

Hey SoloDallas excellent job yet again! I am getting into recording my self and I have a question, are their any reasonably priced microphones that you'd recommend for recording a sound like this, I don't have a lot of money to spend on a mic but I'd like something that will give me a great sound from my new Marshall 1987x.. Thanks

KILLER tone! Just like the original from the "LTBR" Album.
There's a funny story about the recording of that album. During one of the Angus takes his amp actually got on fire fire! Instead of stopping he continued to play, being encouraged by the producer. So, one of the solos you hear in the album is really a burning one.

THIS IS SIMPLY THE BEST!!!10/10* Bravo Fil :))
So, am I getting it wrong, or Angus did use 2203 in LTBR and PA? Sounded pretty dirty to me for a Metalface...

@Mellevaelslide Well it's my own "theory" that he used the 2203 on LTBR, Powerage and maybe, HighWay to Hell, too. What I have been trying to do here is prove it with these sounds I replicated. I too think metalfaces or 1959s in general.

The reason why you cut the video to do the solo is that the sound settings of the solos are different, am i wrong ? Can you explain that to us ?
idontFeelFine 3 weeks ago
@idontFeelFine Yes, basically that is as you noted. Additionally, some solos (studio) are just really intricate and in order to try and do them as accurately as I like it, I need to really record them separately. The sound settings are also different, though slightly, so it really is more convenient to me to cut the solo separately.

Thats an awesome tone machine and as usual flawless Fil, where did you find that Jet Firebird? I have an Electromatic double jet paint stripped from it with a Filtertron in the Bridge! But I bet it sounds nothing like yours lol I have a few videos with it !! :))))
