  • please answer, in not fade away Brian Jones is playing a harp on E but the other one 2 when he reaches the higher notes. In what key is that harp?

  • @PeterSteves No idea, send me a link to the video with the exact timing of the part you are talking about - then I may be able to help!

  • @PeterSteves Well it seems to me he uses an A in 2nd position for the low E chord playing the Bo Diddly riff and then switches to a higher harp for the solo part with a little bending. That is D harp played in 3rd position. Hope that helps but if not contact me on SKYPE. Ben

  • Hi Of all the harmonica brands that you have played which one is better out of the box for overblowing and overdrawing??

    thanks

  • @javijazztazz I'd say Hohner Crossover.

  • why does it sound like a horse galloping?

  • @AntonioPistola Yes, sorry about the galloping, not sure what happened there.

  • can anyone tell me what key is recomended for playing traditional western folk songs? I wanna buy the Golden Melody key of A but am not sure if the key of A is a good one for folk songs. Aint much of a blues player but I love the harmonica. Thanks

  • Thank you so much, Ben, for this review! You helped me make the decision to get a Golden Melody. It arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased! Although I'm somewhat of a beginner, I can already make this thing sound pretty decent! Love the nice, warm tone and the rounded, retro 50s style shape!

  • Thanks Ben

  • Anyone know the 1st year this harmonica came out?

  • Well, I can say one thing - got it yesterday and I already can bend notes on holes 7,8,9. Couldn`t do it on cheap suzuki. This harp is deam loud

  • @javijazztazz :) Im also learning how to customize them - its just a necessary skill if you dont want to pay over 100 dolars for an already customized harp or a B-radical ,p

I just ordered 2 golden melodies and want to tweak them when they arrive :) I also have couple of Manjis but am not very happy with them (mainly with the C harp) as its really hard to bend it a half step :/

Im mainly thinking about buying really cheap harps and learning to customize really well on them :D
