James' flight in a RV-6 sport plane

James took a flight in a Vans RV-6 sport plane June 28, 2008 at the Davenport airport (KDVN) as part of the EAA Young Eagles program. Hat's off to pilot Keith Williams and the other pilots and volunteers for devoting their planes, time, skill, and considerable expense to introducing kids to aviation with this great program.

A note about background noise. Just after plane starts to taxi at the 1:00 point, you hear a golf cart start up. (it's not a plane) Later at 1:48, the sound you hear is a Mooney taxiing, followed at 2:04 by the sound of the RV6 going to full throttle for take off.

i also took a young eagle's flight about 6 months ago, and now i'm halfway through private pilot training.. great program, great guys, awesome experience.

I'm not sure James got that love of flight that attracts and motivates people like yourself to pursue a license, but I still hold out some hope.

i flew with an instructor as a young eagle and i flew the rv6 in the captains chair... about craped my self on how fast it was :)

Another satisfied customer. I've never seen a kid unhappy after a young eagles flight.
