Rep. Dennis Moore (KS-3), Featured Member

Dennis Moore was born in Anthony, Kansas in 1945. He grew up in the Kansas public school system and graduated from Wichita Southeast High School. He received his B.A. from the University of Kansas in 1967 and his J.D. from the University of Washburn School of Law in 1970. Congressman Moore served in the U.S. Army in 1970 and in the Army Reserves from 1970 -1973 and as an assistant state attorney general from 1971-1973. He was elected as District Attorney in Johnson County, Kansas three times, serving from 1977 to 1989. He currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee and Small Business Committee. Congressman Moore is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition and served as its policy chair during the 110th Congress.
