Berlin Manners follows the stories of four women with tragic backgrounds. Strangers to one another, they packed up their lives,
crossed the Atlantic and came to Berlin in order to reinvent themselves.
Michelle Carr, Mad Kate, Tallulah Freeway and Clea Cutthroat, four escapists that try to make their way in the world as traveling performers. Their work is dazzlingly sexy,
carnal and romantic with a generous lashing of subversive, biting political satire.
We're talking about the art of Burlesque.
Disheartened with the failure of the American dream, It 's not difficult to understand why our four heroines, driven by their audacious spirit and urge for freedom chose Berlin as the city to start a new stage extravanza. With its tolerant atmosphere and endless nights, this city has evolved into a focal point for individuals attracted by liberal and artistic lifestyle, modern zeitgeist and the low cost of living.
It seems to be a second chance for the hedonistic and cosmopolitan mood of the Weimar Republic, when anything went and the Cabaret myth was born...
