When I first heard about Guitar Hero on Tour I thought it was going to be just a cheap gimmick. Thankfully I was wrong. One great move Red Octane made was to make the grip comfortably work with both, the original DS and the NDS Lite.
First I'll focus on the guitar grip. The fret buttons are very responsive, and there is one less button compared to the original Guitar Hero controllers. The grip also feels very natural (when not posing for the camera) and clean. The included stylus guitar pick is not necessary, but gets you more involved with the game.
Second, the actual game itself. I will give the game four and a quarter stars. The graphics are amazing, and the game play is great too. It is very similar to traditional Guitar Hero. The layout is very nice on the touch screen you swipe across the screen with the pick stylus to strum and you can use the whammy bar on the virtual guitar for those long notes. I love the look I get from others around me when I yell "ROCK OUT" little do they know I am activating star power. The song lineup is quite expansive for a little DS cartridge. Overall if you like Guitar Hero, have a DS, and fifty bucks, go get one. You'll love it.
can you play other games with that ds grip?
