i live in georgia and my friend and i saw this same "vertex" (that's what i call it) and my friend's like "is that hole in the sky were the angels are gonna come for the rapture?" i lmao and say "nah. not today at least"

Go on Google Images, look for "cloud hole." That's snow falling in the center: ice crystals. Often the mile-wide "hole" gets triggered when an aircraft flies through the cloud layer. Here's a satellite photo of hundreds of cloud holes over Texas: bit.ly / awTJov
