Normrally wingovers will create high sink rates, up to 20m/s. This is crucial in order to keep the speed as sharp turns will cause your airspeed to bleed.Ridge lift is not powerfull enought to sustain wingovers. Keeping pressure on the prakes is only to sence dengerous airspeeds and will not help you when you run out of speed. Pulling the brakes harder on the outside when the pressure is low is dangerous. Continiue the turn, and let the wing gain airspeed.

I live in holland, and we have similar conditions, so I cant take this movie out of my head every time Im doing wingovers since the cause to me is not fully determined. All I do is to make sure the to keep the tension on both sides and flying the glider as a series of turns instead of relying on the swinging motion. In this way keeping the center of gravity directly under the wing, were in the swinging motion youre pulling the outer wing downwards. The loads gliders are not designed to take.
