  • @oopalonga You should read up on the work of Dmitri Belyaev. In just 10 generations of selective breading, he was able turn the wild silver fox in to a tame, and visible different bread of fox. Oddly enough, the differences between the tame foxes and the wild foxes includes many of the same morphological differences we see between wolves and dogs. Turns out that when you select for tameness, you get a whole bunch of physical changes as well. So yeah, Belyaev demonstrated evolution in action.

  • I always knew dogs were better than cats!!!

  • @idunno4got He didn't mention that as in we are ONLY carnivores, he's stating it because it's the reason WHY wolves were attracted to us initially. L2payattention.

  • humans are NOT carnivores.

  • @idunno4got True but at the time humans mainly hunted for meat.

  • @wingituk you make a good point dogs are omnivores which makes me wonder how they derived from wolves. Domestic dogs have more in common with jackals than wolves, they are both omnivores, cannot regurgitate food on purpose, sometimes work in packs, and are more dog like when raised from the wild. Also did you know that some of the first dogs were domesticated in Africa, which is a wolf free continent, but is overrun by jackals. I think jackals, wolves, and coyotes all were domesticated into dogs

  • I wish vegetarians would pipe down and stop talking about how we should be vegetarians, well guess what here is reality, nobody here cares that you eat only vegetables and fruit, do I think it is wrong that people in slaughter house torture, and put their animals on roids, Yes! But when I get the chance, I'm moving to my grandfathers 100+acre farm and raising my own free range livestock, free of added hormones, and I'm gonna sell those fruits, veggies, and meats at the market every year!

  • @emjayxluv Bullshit! I haven't eaten meat for over 30 years and very possibly in a lot better shape than you my friend, certainly healthier than my flesh eating heart-attack-waiting-to-happen friends. And dogs ARE OMNIVORES. They need cereal/veg in their diet to ward off rampant renal disease.

  • This is why dogs are better than cats

  • @emjayxluv Defend your opinion, woman! It'd have to be highly specialized, far more so than a vegetarian/vegan diet. I was vegetarian for 5 years, I've done a lot of research. Go live with the Eskimos, not that you'd live very long.

  • @Dylithe Apparently we are, if youve got more questions email the bbc scientist guys lol... yeh id like to fucking try 'survive on a diet consisting soley of animals' think itd be pretty sweet if i had the money to

  • @emjayxluv We poorly digest a lot of nutrients in meat, too. How the fuck can we be carnivores? I'd like to see you survive on a diet consisting solely of animals.
