I used to have tourettes , I would squeeze my eyes closed every 10 seconds . I dont have it anymore , I forced myself to stop doing it .

I have it and I LOATHE when close friends of mine think Tourette Syndrome is a 'made up' syndrome and that I don't have it. It took YEARS to 'manage' my tics. It's like being in a body and having a mind that is partially out of control.

If someone has tourettes, I will stare, but only because I want to see it, I love knowing things I don't have. i.e.. drug problems, disorders, phobias. I love to learn how their day to day life is and it makes me happy to learn about it.

I just realized i had tourettes syndrome when i was little. Well, they weren't severe or anything i just blinked my eyes really hard and scrunched up my face all the time. My mom would make fun of me and insult me and tell me how ugly i was when i did it. years later, they finally went away somehow. is it because of my mom or does it automatically go away?

It seems that having to learn about, understand, and deal with this condition at young ages cause them to develope a certain intillegence and maturity.

Great video. Possibly one of the most frustrating things in life (to me) is when people try and talk intelligently about things they know absolutely nothing about like for example "tourette's" or "OCD" It's fine to say you don't "get" it or "understand" it but don't make yerself look like a loser by trying to give yer own UNeducated opinion about something like TS based on nothing. This is a very real disorder and it's sad that there are morons out there who downplay it because they can't grasp

Yeah, most people have no real clue about tourettes. These kids aquit themselves very well and eloquently in explaing their situations.
