Tommy Walsh's Eco House - "The Finished House" HD

With the house finally built Tommy has time to reflect on the past events. It was undoubtedly one of the toughest challenges he has ever had to face as a television presenter or a builder.
Finished Eco house - Television Production We chose the summer of 2007 to shoot the series which turned out to be the worst summer for 50 years! Delays because of bad weather, late delivery of building materials and other factors all added to the pressure that is commonplace in TV production.

Early tests have shown that the running costs of the house will be approximately £250 per year!

It was quite a journey for Tommy, his build team and all of the production staff at Free Spirit.

The ten part series was produced and delivered to Discovery TV on time and on budget and we are all immensely proud of what we have achieved.

We hope it inspires and entertains viewers for many years to come.

A step in the right direction, but 'Eco'? Hmm!

Having said that, its way better than all the mock tudor rubbish which is built in the UK.

If only developers would built these types of houses & sell them for £60k or there abouts!!!!!!!!

@killanimalsforfun247 Yep. Totally agree with you. I know (of) people who have built houses themselves for £3k or there abouts. Fabulous, organic, houses using local / sustainable materials which look like hobbit homes :o)

Location Lacation plays a Large part in the price where a House any House is built you can build this house "thats in this video" in the Middle of a desert for 30k and less and build the same house I say in Beverly Hills for 1.2 million.

@siggyuke LOL you have to be joking, the idea is to have everyone slaving away to pay a morgage for the rest of their lives. There are thousands of empty houses, plots of land on brown sites and redundant mills available but to keep the housing market up these potential homes are left to rot. Liverpool is one of the worst places to see this in full effect.
