Hay Jud, Thanks ! I really like your videos too. Your picking is a very nice style. I've kinda developed my own style on the dobro from watching other people play. My time keeping is not to good from playing by myself for so long. I just do it as a past time. I've played a guitar all my life, and a dobro for the last 3 years. I can learn alot from watching guys like you. Thanks again !!!!!

Yes, it is macassar ebony.This reso was made by a good friend of mine, Don Gann out of Cabot ,Arkansas. He told me awhile back that the wood in this guitar would cost $500. now a days.

G is the open position on the dobro and thats why I done it in G. I know this song was written to be done in the key of D which is just perfect for a fiddle. This is one of the first songs I learned when I picked up the reso. This is a song that just dont leave my head, I'm afraid it is plastered to my brain since I play a fiddle too....
