You may have seen the blender tutorial on blenderguru on "How to Create An Underwater Scene". I saw that some of you asked for a tutorial on how to get the coins to drop and stay in that position. So I made one!!! :D

Sorry if my voice is annoying... I just woke up. haha

This is my first tutorial, so ask me questions in the comments if I missed anything. Also let me know in the comments if I go too fast...

  • not working my objects either go through the plane or stop above the plane

  • @AceTrainerKayden make sure your plane is a collision object under the physics panel

  • nice so can i just render the coins as the fall like (ctrl F12)

  • @edwardochieng sure can. it'll be just as slow as it plays back in the viewport though. there is a new(er) tutorial up on blendercookie by jonathan williamson. you should check that out, covered some things i didn't. :)

  • I got it to work, Under the Scene Settings there's a button under Game that Says Start and it rendered it like normal

  • @EverydayandYou i think p starts the game engine. I'm sorry i should speak up a little more. glad you got it working though! :D

  • @underhill1994 Ok did that and the plane falls with the object too

  • @underhill1994 Wasnt to be disrespectful, just heard the fan and it reminded me of my xbox360 trying to cool down. Laptop wasnt slow at all. Once again great tutorial, high five!

  • @underhill1994 oh, well I think I heard you say P but I thought it was just a diiferent way of playing the animation lol but yeah I heard you Ill try that

  • Thanks. Never messed with the Game engine. I was wondering how he made those coins fall. Probably Andrew did something similar with the building collapse in New York animation. Thanks, very informative. I'll have to try this after work.
