Regine gives birth to baby boy

MANILA -- Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez finally gave birth to first child with husband Ogie Alcasid.

On his official Twitter account, Ogie confirmed the good news. He said they named the baby Nathaniel James, and Regine gave birth at 7:47 p.m. of November 8.

Ogie also thanked all those who send greetings and well wishes for his wife and son.

Nathaniel James is Ogie's third child.

The singer/songwriter has two daughters -- Leila and Sarah -- with ex-wife Michelle Van Eimeren.

In a prior interview with Ogie, he revealed that Michelle, her new husband and his two kids are very excited and looking forward to the birth of the new baby.

Though Ogie and Michelle are legally separated, the ex-couple remained friends.

Michelle, a former beauty queen, is also close to Regine and even helped the couple during their lavish wedding December of last year. (Sunnex)
