Food allergies can cause
• depression
• panic attacks
• anger
This is the because allergies cause inflammation and water retention which block the uptake of nutrients which causes nutritional deficiencies.
This is according to a book called "Trace Your Genes to Health" by Chris Reading, MD as noted in this video clip by Joan Mathews Larson, PhD.
This was noted by Joan Mathews Larson, PhD in a speech she gave in September 2007.

Anebt,
You are correct.
I should call what I have food intolerance rather than a food allergies.
When I say lousy, I mean feeling tired and have no energy, or blah.
My sense is that many doctors do not appreciate the idea of food intolerance because, as I did, it is often called food allergies and since they don't see an allergic reaction, they say, "It's nonsense. It's all in your head."
I heard a doctor on the radio say this about 15 years ago.

Anebt,
Thank you for sharing your story.
I agree.
I am allergic to many foods which make me feel lousy, however, my sense is that most people don't believe me when I tell them.
I've experienced it at least a thousand times over the last 22 years -- that's only once a week for 20 years.
My guess is that this occurs with many people who simply do not recognize it.

I put this video on my blog today (TheSkinnyOnline) so my readers could benefit. I'm convinced food allergies are at the root of my undiagnosed, low level ailments. Thanks for this!
