  • @motopilot0919 - Tell the rider I'm glad he's back on the bike! I am not being sarcastic; remind him to look waaayyyy out front of him; the faster, the farther.... It works. Take a brief "notice" of the obstacles (big rocks, pucker bushes, etc...) 60 - 75 yards ahead of you, "let your body move the bike", but don't stay "focused" on the shit right in front of you!

For reference; Chuck Miller (Baja 1000 winner) and Cliff Thomas (Barstow to Vegas Overall Winner) taught me this stuff years ago.

  • I want to give a "tip of the hat" to the race promoters! What an awesome response!

Never trusted myself on the "Bomb Runs" Insane as it sounds, I raced in Baja in the mid-1970s; never had a "head-on" with a "local" on the race course; loved the thrill of racing completely alone for 200 miles straight (4-5 hours), but put me on the line for a "Bomb Run" in the So. Cal. desert? Hated it! Felt good leading, but had to look WAY OUT FRONT and pray!

Glad the rider recovered and is racing again!

  • Been there done that!! Both race and crashing like that...

  • Did he hit that deer antler laying on the ground??

  • hes fine and racing the nma series he got a bad concussion

  • Man... I've been there. Hope he's alright?

  • dude i ride and it is some scary ass shit when u r being taken away in an ambulance or a helicopter is he ok just wondering one rider to another

  • Wow, I'm going to be 50 next year and was debating the whether to do 1 lap or 2, I figured the 1 lappers wouldn't be so looney, I guess not. I got my own ride on that helicopter on Nov. 4, 2009. If your conscious tell them to take a hike and go in the ambulance, my 7 minute ride was $9600.00.

  • man hes my friend and really looks like a got busted up a bit

  • man do i feel bad for that rider i was also ther and saw the crash and from the looks of it i was right behind you.
