Part 3 in the epic (lol) series countering the most mind-numbing claims made by Vegan-Obsessed Meat Industry Tools (VOMIT), yet still I hang on to a tiny shred of sanity ;-)

Vegan Women Have High Omega-3 Levels:
Women following vegan diets had plenty of omega-3 "good fats" in their blood, compared with fish-eaters, meat-eaters, and ovo-lacto vegetarians, according to a new report from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) Study. Levels in vegan men were not quite as high as in vegan women.
Despite zero intake of long-chain omega-3s (EPA and DHA) and substantially lower intake of their plant-derived precursor alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), vegan participants converted robust amounts of shorter-chain fatty acids into these long-chain fatty acids. Of the 4,902 men and women studied, five men & five women were considered vegan.

  • I don't need any anti-vegan or pro-vegan telling me that there're are dangerous inherent in veganism. I became vegan for two years, starting in 2000, and did so without researching/learning what I needed to do to ensure I maintained proper nutrition. I lost a lot of weight, figured everything was great. Things went down hill, I almost died of multiple organ failure, and a battery of tests put me back on the steaks. I'm better now. Eat what you want, just make sure you know how to do it right.

  • @CaptainSmallFoot Hmm, do I smell a shill? Pray tell, give us this doctor or at least cite some specifics from this diagnosis & "battery of tests" proving your steak cure. I'm 20+years vegan and healthier than when much younger...so many healthy long-term vegans, but maybe you're of the cat family? I doubt you were ever vegan. Or you ate empty junk. There's everything healthy about eating fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, nuts & seeds, and a good B12 supplement which not only vegans need.

  • @1221solstice2012

Hello! I don't remember the doctor, the tests consisted of several blood samples and two urine samples over a course of 2 weeks. I had a B12 deficiency, a shot fixed that. My problem was that I didn't know how to eat vegan, though I did go completely animal-product free for 2 years. My diet consisted mostly of pastas/meat substitutes/rice/beans/lettuce (and many other veggies)/very little fruit.

  • @CaptainSmallFoot So it was insufficient nutrition, not lack of meat/animal products. Mostly flour products, white rice & such, and mock meats are no way to eat. No need for you to condemn veganism on that basis. People feeding their kids Lunchables, juice boxes and McD's happy meals should be the ones being attacked daily online and in life...but no one bats an eye over all that. The medical profession LOVE$ it. I'm vegan 20+ years and NEVER visit a doctor...no need...and I'm not so young.

  • I wholeheartedly agree with you. Everything about it is so on track and right feeling

  • @mastermooky Thanks, right back at ya :-)

  • Being vegan is an ethical imperative.

    Love the video. :-)

  • Basically, a vegan diet is the healthiest.

And for anyone who proclaims eating animal products is healthy... please explain why the West, with all its medicine and money, is so ill.

  • @1221solstice2012 Oh, I wasn't condemning veganism. Just stating that there are inherent dangers--just like any other diet. Vegan/vegetarianism is certainly healthier than diets with excess meats, as most American diets are. My 9 year old is vegetarian, never even ate meat as a baby. We supplement his diet. I've always been a "eat what you want, just know how to do it safely" type of guy. Sorry that I wasn't more precise in my first post--I blame the character limit. =x

  • GREAT VIDEO AND GOOD MESSAGE !

    ANIMALS FOREVER :-)

  • @munchkin365 Those laughing children are the type very likely to be possible school shooters, violent thugs, or serial killers. People can be so proud of themselves for nurturing that aspect of our "humanity."

  • @1221solstice2012 Seriously though Laura they hate us so much that it is only a matter of time before an animal protestor is actually torn limb-from-limb by these people. I was at a demo recently and we have telescreens with slaughterhouse footage of lambs being slaughtered. There were children actually 'laughing about it'. There is an article in the news today that the UK is now flying live pigs in crates to factory farms in China apparently British pigs are more productive.
