I like the camera but as I said it would have saved me money if it had the input type solution where I could transfer TO the camera.
Yeah..it transfers to the laptop real nicely and I like the non-HD type storage..no moving parts to break.

There are some Analogue to Digital solutions out there for not too much. Roxio has one and the Pinnacle Dazzle both go for under $100. Maybe they would be worth investing in until you get all of your analogue stuff to digital, then sell them on Ebay.

I bought a 300.00 Sony dcr41 and can't do this pissed me off!!!

Looks like the DCR 41 is more of a solid state memory camera. Good if you just want to shoot to a hard drive or a memory card but not so useful for analogue transfers.

Dan,
Search Dazzle video converter on You Tube. I have seen a number of tutorial that are quite good at explaining what is needed to capture live video game footage.

Hello.
I was trying this out but i can't seem to find the part in the VCR setup on my camera.
I have a Sony Mini DV DCR-HC28E and was wondering if you could find out wheather or not i can do this.
Thanks a lot.

I'm sorry according to Sony your camera doesn't have Analog Audio/Video Input(s). That means you can't feed analogue video into your camera. No video in means no video out either. Don't despair you can always get a Pinnacle Dazzle or the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD device. Both will do the conversions for you. If I can help you with anything else please let me know.
