  • There is a strobe version of this called the Whelen 8000. That is the very first sealed strobe model.

  • @zangazoo2007

Yes, I've got an 8000 or two here.

  • nothing wrong with old lights but just asking does anyone pullover for you because i know i would not pullover if i saw you coming up behind me lol

  • It isn't mounted.d It was only up there for the video - and some laughs.

  • Good work you stupid fucking whacker

  • I don't think that was really neccesary. I am a vintage lighting collector. It's not like the light is mounted on my vehicle.

  • sweet shit

  • @zangazoo2007 The Whelen 8000 (strobes) was my first ever lightbar... back in the mid to late 80's. GREAT BAR!

  • it look much better if u clean up and polish them domes

  • @Pimpala03 That's cool. First time I saw the strobe version I was about 8 years old. The police cars that were in the city I lived in at the time had all red lights. I remember they looked really weird, but cool too.

  • Good for you, all you have to do is slap a SKYWARN or "Emergency Communications" sticker on the door and you're good to go.

  • Wasn't there a strobe version of this? I seem to remember one from my childhood on police cars of the late 70s to the very early 80s.

  • This is the ONLY model 80 rotator bar I've seen on YouTube.

The local Sheriff's Dept had a couple of these back around 1980. The blue lenses faded very quickly though and became very opaque, kinda like scotch tape, and during the day you almost couldn't even tell the lights were on!

This one still look good though.

  • Our 1958 International fire truck has one of these, exactly like this! And i like this song.
