I made this video to remind myself, and others...
Busy lives. Many freedoms. Abundant provisions. Endless options.
Do we get so caught up in our life that we forget how blessed we are? Or how difficult someone else may have it? I do not want to take for granted all I have and am, nor diminish those who need compassion and help.
When I first heard this song, my heart ached. One thing I prayed for when I first came to Christ was a heart for compassion, as I had always been a self-centered person as the world teaches us to be "its all about me- look out fo rnumber one". Well, JESUS is NUMBER ONE and I want His eyes for the broken hearted! I remember where I used to be, recall who I once was, and imagine where I could be now...but I rejoice in who I am right now, Glory to God! I am so thankful, and try to never forget how He sees who we really are inside- a diamond in the rough.
I pray for more compassion in the world, like the love and compassion our Father had for us when He died on the cross for us- broken, and beaten- out of love. Praise the Name of the Lord Jesus!
