  • gorgeous watch- how large are your wrists? I have 7" wrists and I can't decide to go with 44mm or 47mm.

  • @bzhang777 Thanks for the comment on the watch, my wrists measure 8" in diameter.

  • Congrats to a lovely watch. Really looks good on your wrist.

  • @rpeppekus Thank you very much, its a nice watch to wear on special occasions.

  • Yes, indeed it is a beautiful, watch, thank for the Clarification. I am thinking of hoping on one of their divers. One more question, how long did it take for deliver, and did that they charged you tax, in the check I saw something called VAT, what the hell is that. Thanks

  • @labro361 Steinhart makes great divers too but I like their Pilot watches & Chronographs better. It took a week to show up from Germany with via FedEx. VAT is Value Added Tax and is only charged to residents of Germany where the watch is made. Steinhart deducts the VAT from your purchase so you don't pay that. FedEx however charges you a Customs tax which is about 5% of the value of the watch, I think mine came to USD $8.00 or so if Im correct, your mileage may vary.

  • love how smooth the second hand is!

  • why not unitas? ;-)

  • @labro361 Steinhart mainly uses ETA movements which are high quality movements made in switzerland.also used by brands such as Longines,Marcello and Tissot...just to name a view....

  • Thank you

  • @labro361 As bamoozledguy already said: VAT is the german/international version of "sales tax". As an non-european union customer you do not have to pay it.

  • @labro361 Hi! No china-ware in these. All swiss made. Steinhart only uses ETA Unitas 6498, 6497, ETA 2824-2, ETA 2893, ETA Valjoux 7750 etc. movements. Search for ETA SA in wikipedia and you will find a nice article. ETA is owned by swatch, which also owns these watch brands (all use ETA):

Breguet, Blancpain, Jaquet Droz, Glashütte Original, Léon Hatot, Tiffany & Co., Omega SA, Longines, Union Glashütte, Mido, Tissot, Calvin Klein, Certina, Pierre Balmain, Hamilton, Rado, Swatch, Flik Flak
