The hot springs have the most fantastic colours. Among other things these colours are caused by sulphur, manganese, iron and all kinds of organisms. This is the morning glory pool in Yellowstone National Park, which is located in the Rocky Mountains of the north-western United States. Established in 1872, it is the oldest and largest of the 35 National Parks in the United States.
The park is noted for its wealth of natural wonders and its abundant wildlife.
Yellowstone has more than ten thousand geysers and hot water springs.

Yellowstone is officially designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.
Visit WWW.STOCKSHOT.NL for highres version or broadcast video footage. More national parks available!
This 28 minutes documentary is part of the tv-series GREAT PARKS of the WORLD and is available on DVD or VHS (Dutch or English version) at WWW.FAUNAFILM.NL
