Why is iTunes for Windows so slow?

There is apparently a lag when I slide the volume button.

@AMFxCful LMFAO. oh dear. you poor fanboys. so blinded by your love for everything Microsoft you immediately blame Apple when a software doesn't have intended results. iTunes for Windows is a direct port from the Mac version. it's identical. If it doesn't run as well on Windows then Windows is to blame. run good software on a shitty OS and it's still gonna be shitty. (on a sidenote, iTunes for Windows always ran fine for me. it jus runs even better on Mac)

@ZoorGoo i use this app all the time and it works and always worked for me 100%. It's your shit PC not iTunes!! And if you have a problem with using their devices DONT USE THEM!

@AMFxCful what, do you want a screenshot of my specs or something? and your video card has nothing to do with how fast itunes runs. are you for or against apple? my computer can run Crysis maxed at 60-70 FPS, i'm pretty sure it should be able to run itunes flawlessly. Such is not the case.

@andrewneedsalawn you obviously don't have a Core i7 4.02GHz with 8GB of RAM because i have a worse 4GB of RAM and i have abad graphics card too (its not bad but not amazing either) and it does not lag at all, work perfectly fine with everything, music, video, HD video iTunes LP nothing lags. so stop complaining because it does work you just have to get a better PC!

@AMFxCful what the hell, i HAVE to use this for my 400$ ipod. Apple has locked out all other software. so i INSTALL itunes and THEN trudge through the INCESSANTLY PAINFUL process of putting some music on it and then UNINSTALL it because of all the USELESS SERVICES it is running in the background.

never buying another apple product. I run a Core i7 4.02GHz with 8GB of RAM and the GOD DAMN VOLUME SLIDER lags-EVERY OTHER PIECE OF WINDOWS SOFTWARE RUNS AMAZINGLY. ESPECIALLY WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

it runs a lot faster with the 8.1.1 version....just donwloaded it and its almost as fast as a mac, just from a few miliseconds ......... even tough it sounds to exaggerated one can still kinda noitce the few milliseconds xD

itunes is too big of a program for windows. i have windows vista home basic, and i downloaded the latest version of itunes, plugged in my ipod, and wow i felt like i was back to a windows 98. even when itunes is closed theirs a speed difference in your system. Itunes needs a light version
