  • Hello peaple! I don't know the name of these song, but I want to know too. Anybody know?

  • @sangfroidjen Yes, she excels in both the classical and contemporary repertoires. But most importantly she's one of the few who knows how to perform different styles of choreography. For example, she doesn't need to show off an uncalled-for 180º arabesque to wow the audience in a Petipa ballet, however she demonstrates she can achieve the highest extensions when she needs to in Balanchine.

I think this is a unique quality, in addition to the ones you mentioned, that makes her so special.

  • What's the name of this music, please?? It's so beautiful...

  • This is fantastic , thanks!!

  • Do you know what is the name of this song. This is so beautyfull. And Aurelie Dupont is my favourite classical dancer. She's awesome.

  • @sangfroidjen You mean Oksana Skorik? I have only seen her in Swan Lake rehearsals but what like of her I've watched I've enjoyed. I guess I don't mind her extensions so much in Swan Lake, for which a lot of developpés and penchées are required. Now, if she used the same extensions in all of her arabesques and attitudes in Sleeping Beauty or Giselle then I might think differently.

And of course, I couldn't agree more about Dupont.

  • @theamazingsoter Yes 180 extensions are why I am finding it difficult to truly appreciate certain Russian ballerinas who are the biggest abusers. Many young Russian dancers hailed as next big stars do this, Skorik is one example.

What I love about Dupont, whose sensibility best exemplifies POB dance philosophy, is her approach to ballet from a mature, intrinsically personal, responsive, and musical perspective. These qualities elevate ballet to art instead of something pretty to look at.

  • @theamazingsoter I agree with you, also I might add she was wonderful in Rubies and Tchaikovsky PDD. She's a true dance artist in that she has everything: artistic sensitivity, intelligence, technique, and superb stage presence.

  • can you please tell me the name of that song?please?!!..:-)

  • Shes soo cute

  • No... she is about perfect in most things, add to the list Tatiana, Manon, La Cigarette, The Seasons, Giselle, and many others. This why she is one of my favourite Ballerina's as well.
